The plowing down here was so bad I couldn't run today and today was supposed to be a run day. Grrr. I guess I will have to do pilates again.
Pre-run eats...Do you eat and then go right out and run? Or do you eat, wait a bit and then go? I have such a hard time eating before I run but know I probably should.
running in hard-packed snow, ice and slush sucks, no doubt. i probably only spied true pavement for a total of about 25 minutes. i've never had a run like today's a matter of fact, completely skewed rhythm, hard slippery lumps underfoot, can't wait to feel what my knees have to say tomorrow. but like every run, when it's over, it's gorgeous.
As far as eats, I try and gnosh light, and do head out shortly after. today, i also ate a packet of goo at the hour mark. Maybe you should think about downing some before running, it's certainly not heavy on the old gut. i'm finding it to be effective stuff.
But stick whatever works for you. chris never eats before she runs, coffee only.
hope you get out there tomorrow.
